(Gabor) Dennis (Denesh) (r. 5.6.1900, Budapest), physicist, the founder of holography. Members. British of queens, society (1956). Honorary member Hungarian AN (1964). It graduated from tech. university in Budapest and highest tech. school in Berlin. In 1927-33 it worked in Germany. In 1934 it emigrated to Great Britain.
