enterprises (obtaining, processing or consuming toksich., the
strangling or explosive gases, the inflammable liquids, metallic,
carbon, aluminum powders, carbonyls, etc.). G. d. includes the preventive maintenance of
emergencies and overcoming their consequences, observation of the
content of harmful and dangerous admixtures in air of industr.
accomodations, checking the means of gas shield, the instruction of
personnel of enterprises in the use by them, etc. for the rescuing of
people with the emergencies, which are accompanied by an increase in
the content of poison gases in the air to medium, overcoming of the
consequences of such emergencies and rendering aid to victim, and also
for conducting the preventive maintenance on gazobezopasnosti of the
fulfillment of gas-hazardous works in enterprises is organized
gazospasat. the service: professional (gazospasat. of
station) or voluntary (voluntary of
gazospasat. of guard). Positions
about the gas-rescue service, tables of tech. equipment and
instructions, which regulate its activity, are asserted by branch
ministries, which have in enterprises this service, for agreement with
Gosgortekhnadzor - State Committee of the Council of Ministers for
Supervision of Industrial Safety and for Mining Inspection (RSFSR) OF
THE USSR.
Gazospasat. stations
are equipped with the oxygen insulating respirators, air by
apparatuses, hose gas masks and filtering industr. gas masks.
In the case of poisoning by gases suffered are produced
mechanical ventilation of lungs by the method "mouth into the mouth"
("mouth into the nose") or with
the aid of the apparatus "mine rescuer -8" (G -8), and also indirect massage of heart.
For overcoming of the consequences of emergencies adapts the
same equipment, as in mining the parts (see mine-rescue equipment).
