a quantity of gas, which separates per unit of mass or
volume of mineral during its output. G. it depends on gas-bearing capacity, and also
on the permeability to gas, the method and the intensity of the
extraction of mineral, on the depth of development and gas pressure,
concluded in cracks and times of the mineral and of the surrounding
species. With the underground extraction of mineral a quantity
of gas, which separates into the underground workings per unit time,
is called absolute g., and referred to one obtained mineral per unit
time (usually in a 24 hour period) - relative. G. of mines call
the quantity of gas, which separates from it is stratified coal (ore)
and the rocks. The mines (mines), in which are separated methane, NAZ by gas. In a
quantity of separating methane, hydrogen or other dangerously
explosive gas to one t of the
daily extraction of mineral (coal, ore) the mines in THE USSR are subdivided into four categories
(see the gas regime of
mine). p. M.
