(V"lchanov)Rangel (r. 12.10. 1928, Sofia),
Bulgarian director. In 1952 finished the producer department of
the highest institute the theater, arts (Sofia) it began to work as
assistant director and as actor on the studio of artistic films
(Sofia). In 1958 it came out as director, after placing film "on
the small island". Director of the films: the "first
lesson" (1960), the "sun and shadow" (1961), "inspector and night"
(1964), "she-wolf" (1965), "Aesop" (1969) and other ideological
enthusiasm of the majority of films v. is directed toward the
assertion of the right of people to the peace, the happiness, the
love. A number of his films is honored rewards at the
international and the national film festivals.
