the isolation of the dissolved substance from the
solution by the addition of another substance (most frequently salt),
which possesses larger solubility. Two cases v. are
distinguished: 1) V. of electrolytes By electrolytes, 2) V. of
electrolytes By nonelectrolytes. In the first case for v. uses
the electrolyte with the same ion, as in the salted out substance.
Thus, from the aqueous solution sodium chloride NaCl can be
extruded by chloride of magnesium MgCl2. Quantities, estimation in this case is produced in
the value of solubility product (see solubility). In the second case the salting out substance
connects solvent, which seemingly decreases a quantity of solvent for
the salted out substance. V. adapts in analytical chemistry and
chem. productions (v. of soap, v. of dyes, etc; in the
radiochemistry salt out from the solutions chlorides of barium and
radium, VaSy2 and RaCl2, by the addition of hydrochloric acid
NSY).
