on the Soviet working right the period of working activity under certain conditions (for example, in the regions of the extreme north), on the specific profession (for example, doctor) either the post, in the some branches of national economy, that gives right to obtaining will supplement, privileges or advantages (incentive payments, will supplement, leave, pension for v. l.). To workers, occupied on the underground and open mining operations on coal mining and ore in metallurgy, the chem., petroleum, gas industry and some other production, named in the enumeration of productions, is shop and the professions of workers and posts of the leading, eng.- tech. workers and employees, the affirmed State by the Committee of the Council of Ministers THE USSR on questions of labor and wages on 5 November 1957, is paid out reward for v. l. yearly (one-time) or monthly (percent increase to the wages). Yearly reward is paid out when continuous length of employment is present,: from 3 to 5 years - in the size of monthly tariff rate (salary); from 5 to 10 years - in the size of 1,4 rates; from 10 to 15 years - 1,8 rates; with stalse SV. 15 years - in the size of 2 tariff rates. This reward is paid out also by the worker on the underground works with the period from 2 to 3 years (in the size of 0,8 monthly tariff rates or payments). For the persons, occupied in the enterprises of the Urals, Siberia, the Far East, the regions of the extreme north and equated to them distant localities, reward cannot exceed 600 rub per year either 50 rub per month, but in the remaining regions OF THE USSR - 400 rub per year or 34 rub per month (post of the Council of Ministers OF USSR of 2 March 1957, SP of the USSR, 1957, № 4, st. 43). From 1 July 1961 increase in the reward for v. l. in accordance with an increase in the continuous length of employment remains only to workers, directly occupied on the underground works. To remaining workers, who had right to the reward for v. l., it is paid out in the size, established as of on 1 July 1961, in entire period of work in this enterprise in the appropriate post, and also in the case of their transfer into another enterprise to the work, where such payments are produced.

In 1966 for the tractor and machine operators of state farms, district unions and departments of "farm machinery", the machine- cattle-breeding stations, the machine- land-reclamation and meadow-meliorating stations and other State of the enterprises of rural and aqueous economy is introduced the increase within the length of employment in the specialty in this economy. In 1966 payment of reward for v. l. it was established also to the working, leading, engineering- tech. workers and by the employee of lumber, timber-rafting, lumber-hauling enterprises and khimleskhozov, located in the thickly wooded regions OF THE USSR.

For the workers of the extreme north and distant localities, equated to these regions, are established percent increases to the basic wages in the dependence on v. l. in the localities indicated (Decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR from 26 cent. 1967, The "Gazettes of the Supreme Soviet OF THE USSR", 1967, № 39). By permanent worker and by that serving of forest industry and forest economy (on the specific enumeration of posts and professions) in every 3 years of continuous operation is allowed additional leave during 24 workdays right on it will supplement, leave for v. l. into 1967 it was given to the workers of enterprises and organizations of ferrous metallurgy, into 1968 - to workers of construction-assembly organizations.

To the some categories of workers for v. l. in the specific specialty are paid out the pensions, which are assigned independent of the state of the ability to work of worker and, as a rule, independent of age. Such pensions for v. l. are established to the workers of flight personnel of civil aviation and aeronautics, to agriculturists, to veterinary surgeons, and also to the some categories of the artists of theaters and other theatrical- entertainment enterprises.
