finished Petrovskiy agr. academy (1890). In 1892-1904 it worked
in The velikoanadol"skom forest it was massive expedition v. V. dokuchayeva. Prof.
krymskogo university (1919-22), Belorussian agr. of institute
(1923-26), Kharkov institute of villages and forest economy (1926-30). In1930-40 Prof. vsesoyuznys (later than the Ukrainian) the
science and research institute of forest economy and agricultural
afforestation (Kharkov). Was studied lesorastit. of the
condition of Tula abatis, Buzulukskogo boron, By ergeney,
Aleshkovskikh and Naryn it was sand. It investigated the
influence of forest for the living environment and reason for the lack
of forest of steppes, for the first time designed moisture balance
under the forest and the field. The tree-shrub type of steppe
afforestations based. It placed the bases of soil hydrology of
arid regions and developed the study about the types of the
hydrological condition of soils and it was ground; it advanced
the theory of the origin of solenosnosti of steppe soils and it was
ground. Nature for the first time described the process of
gleying and showed its biol.. It developed the bases of
oroklimatich. of soil classification. It first established laws
governing the surface airstreams, which cause the duststorms. It
proposed the classification of plants on the forms of vegetative
multiplication. Author of physico -geografic. monographs about
Samarskeye specific region (1908-09) and Yergenyakh (1915).
