At the end Of peterb. of mountain institute (1891) it worked in the geological committee. Specialist in geology of platinum layers. Osn of work are dedicated to the characteristic of the most important industr. regions of the Urals (layer of platinum Of isovskogo and Nizhniy Tagil regions, Kochkarskiy and Chelyabinsk gold-bearing regions). V. composed the detailed description of the tertiary and quaternary deposits Of zap. of Siberia. V. belong regional descriptions to geologich. to the map of the Urals (1931).
